Artist Talk with Pole Dancer Rex Askew

All are invited to join us for a one-of-a-kind Artist Talk featuring pole dancer Rex Askew on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 4:00 PM. He will explain his creative process and use an actual stripper pole to show how he moves his body in his work.

Based in Indiana, Rex tours throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio go-go dancing and amazing people with his strength and prowess on the stripper pole. He is self-taught and is always looking to better his performance. Over the years, he has fine-tuned his ability to work a stage and deepened his understanding of how to use every inch of his body to create art through swift and acrobatic movement. He seeks to understand the transfer of energy and how we can affect that flow. On any given night, he can do three flips and land with feline grace at the edge of any stage.

In addition to his performance work, Rex is also a vocalist who creates and produces his music which can be found on all platforms as Bearlustage.
